Championing Inclusion & Accessibility

The inclusion walk brought together over 500 participants including persons with disabilities, their families, advocacy organisations, corporate partners, and government officials. The route was carefully planned to be wheelchair accessible, with sign language interpreters and visual aids available at every stage of the event.

Participant-led contingents represented different disability types — visual impairment, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, intellectual disability, and multiple disabilities — each carrying flags and banners calling for specific policy changes and infrastructure improvements in their communities.

Assistive Technology & Skill Showcase

For too long, society has seen our disabilities before it sees our abilities. Today, we walked with our heads held high, not asking for charity but demanding our right to equal opportunities and dignified lives.

A parallel exhibition showcased assistive technologies, adaptive tools, and innovative solutions developed by and for persons with disabilities. From low-cost mobility aids to voice-controlled software and braille learning materials, the exhibition demonstrated that disability is not inability.

Participants from the organisation's vocational training programme displayed their work — handmade products, digital art, computer programmes, and culinary creations — challenging stereotypes and proving that given equal opportunities, persons with disabilities excel in every field.
