Vocational Training & Skill Building
The workshop provided hands-on vocational training in tailoring, embroidery, computer literacy, and English communication. Expert instructors guided participants through each module, ensuring they gained practical, marketable skills that can lead to sustainable livelihoods and economic independence.
Participants practised on industrial sewing machines, learned basic software applications, and engaged in conversational English exercises. The curriculum was designed with input from local employers to ensure alignment with job market demands and self-employment opportunities.
Building Confidence & Leadership

Beyond technical skills, the programme focused on building confidence, financial literacy, and leadership capabilities. Sessions covered basic accounting, digital payment systems, government scheme access, and strategies for starting and managing small enterprises. Women practised public speaking and negotiation skills through role-play exercises.
Peer support networks were formed during the workshop, creating ongoing accountability groups that continue to meet weekly. These networks have already led to collective savings groups, joint purchasing initiatives, and shared childcare arrangements that enable women to pursue their economic activities.
